Because a plant or its fruit contains anticancer substances, this does not mean that a crude and simple extract of that plant material will have anticancer effects.
An elegant example of this was shown to be the case with glycoalkaloids found in an every day eaten solanum plant, Solanum melongena (the eggplant or aubergine).
Over three decades of medical research, clinical studies and many scientific publications have now undoubtedly shown that glycoalkaloids found in the eggplant have anticancer properties (www.curadermbec5global.com). These glycoalkaloids when extracted and purified are now known as BEC.
Dr Bill Cham, a world renowned scientist, was first to describe BEC. BEC in a cream formulation, Curaderm BEC5, has undergone all the necessary studies to establish itself as an excellent treatment for non melanoma skin cancers.
Consequently, from a layperson point of view, it could possibly be assumed that a crude extract of the eggplant would also be effective for treating skin cancers. In the case of the glycoalkaloids in the eggplant this is not the case. Nature has many "secrets" and it took Dr Cham over a decade to unfold the mystery of glycoalkaloids in the eggplant. What Dr Cham discovered was that the eggplant did indeed contain glycoalkaloids and that these glycoalkaloids possessed very good anticancer properties.
However, the eggplant also contained substances that worked against the anticancer effects of glycoalkaloids. When Dr Cham tested the crude extract of the eggplant no anticancer effects were observed. However, when the glycoalkaloids were extracted in a pure form, now known as BEC, and tested against cancer, excellent results were obtained. The substances that worked against the anticancer properties (known as inhibitors) had to be removed from the plant extract before BEC glycoalkaloids could be used for treating skin cancers.
So, unless you experiment with pure BEC do not assume and expect that the eggplant is a treatment for cancer.
In closing, eggplant cures skin cancer is a Fallacy, but, BEC extracted and purified from the eggplant cures skin cancer is a definite Fact!
The best natural way to treat scars is to apply Vitamin E directly on the scar itself. This will
ReplyDeletehelp in producing more collagen (protein) and when new collagen is produced, new cell growth is
accelerated to fade away your scars. Taking Vitamin E orally does not help so much because very
little of the goodness is distributed to the skin and face. Go for serum or creams which shows
very high concentration of natural Vitamin E as the ingredient. Make sure they are no chemical
substitute which may cause unwanted side effects.
One such product you may try is Natur E scar serum (which i found to be a wonderful product that
works). It is a natural product containing 28000 iu of Vitamin E, hence safe of side effects -
yet it works. You can find out more on www.scarremovaltreatment.net.
